An MBA graduate of Harvard Business School, Ms. Maun has advised applicants who gained admission to top-tier MBA programs including Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, Kellogg, and Columbia. In addition to her role with The MBA Exchange, she currently serves Harvard University as an interviewer assessing undergraduate applicants. Ms. Maun worked at McKinsey & Company advising clients in the media, retail, medical device, and non-profit industries. She also served in strategic planning and business development for MTV Networks and Time Warner Interactive. Ms. Maun holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences from Northwestern University. She has traveled to over 25 countries worldwide.
• Do not repeat materials that are already on the application. – Don’t say ‘My major is Physics’ because you have already said that somewhere else. Instead say ‘While I majored in Physics I also took …’ or ‘My Physics major enabled me to take special courses in… and…’. Do mention your knowledge and experience in the field at the university level. It is usually a poor idea to mention your high school experience unless something exceptional happened at that time that changed your life or affected your career choice. The Naveen Jindal School of Management awards some merit-based scholarships to new and continuing Professional MBA students in Fall and Spring semesters. Please be aware that Professional MBA candidates must submit a GMAT or GRE score to be eligible for new student scholarships in the Jindal School. You must have official GMAT/GRE exam scores sent to UT Dallas by the scholarship application deadline to be awarded scholarship. Each scholarship may have specific requirements based on the purpose of the scholarship; however, the JSOM Graduate Scholarship Committee will consider applicants for all available scholarships. Continuing students are eligible to apply for scholarship after two long semesters. Visit the JSOM scholarships page to view the requirements and apply. Students are not considered automatically for scholarship awards and must apply online to be considered by the JSOM graduate scholarship committee. You must be admitted prior to applying for scholarship. JSOM scholarships have very specific deadlines (Fall deadline: May 20th, Spring deadline: December 5th).
